A LEADING LIGHT IN THE OUTBACK

Lightning Ridge’s own ‘Black Queen’ is shining a light on responsible tourism in Outback NSW. The Black Queen have become one of only four business in New South Walesto have achieved Climate Action certification.

A product of Sustainable Tourism Australia, Climate Action certification assists travellers to easily identify businesses who aim to reduce or eliminate the carbon footprint of their operation. The multi award - winning ‘Black Queen’ has achieved the highest level of certification ‘Leader’.

“We are proud to have joined a very select group of businesses in NSW that have achieved Climate Action certification” said Gale Collins owner of the ‘Black Queen’

The ‘Black Queen’s’ passion to deliver a quality experience is supported by Gold accreditation in AussieHost and the addition earlier this year of National Tourism Accreditation. The ‘Black Queen’ was the first tourist attraction in NSW to gain National Tourism Accreditation.
